Glory

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces behold the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

~2 Corinthians 3:17-18

The beauty of holiness, the radiance of light
Majesty and power, splendor and might
Love unbridled, fierce and free
Joy unending, around the Tree

Fused with flesh, delivered in dust
Humble and gentle, beaten and cussed
Glory descended, tiny and frail
Heaven extended, cross and nail

Uncrushable by even the cruelest of foes
The Conqueror of darkness now arose
Glory then ascended, but also came
Entering our hearts, an eternal Flame

The stuff of heaven, mixed with earth
Seeds of the Kingdom, now given birth
Glory among us, hidden from sight
Give us new eyes, to see the light
